As we made our way down to the beach, the refreshing sea breeze trickled softly against my skin.
The sun was shining on the glistening sand, with solitude and an indescribable sense of calmness, I strolled along the shore, enjoying the sand in between my toes and the salt water up to my ankles.
In the distance the waves looked like white horses, galloping in unison, and crowning all this was the most most beautiful sunset– one that I have never witnessed in this lifetime.
Swirls of pink and purple dashed across the sky, and in the far distance, a fiery ball of orange and red slowly sank beneath the horizon.
Appreciative and feeling full of energy, I thought about all the blessings that I’ve been showered upon. Soaking in the ethereal light and colours of dawn, I felt so lucky to have been able to fully immerse myself in the atmosphere.
Couldn’t be more thankful to Fen and David from Axioo for helping to turn my dreams to reality of accomplishing a bohemian and romantic beach shoot for Forever 21’s Summer Lookbook.
When picking out my outfits, I had my eyes set on the gorgeous white fabrics, beautiful crochet and intricate lace pieces. Not my first time mentioning this but white is my absolute favourite colour to wear on the beach. I love how fresh, pure and clean it is, especially when shot against an endless stream of ethereal evening light.
I picked a variety of apparels from Forever 21’s Summer Collection, featuring a white on white ensemble, a cropped crochet top with a bikini bottom and a white semi-sheer maxi dress, all topped with dainty and fine costume jewellery from their accessories collection.
Heading back to Bali again next week for yet another special something! First hand updates will be on snapchat (user: @melissackoh) and instagram! Can’t wait!
