Moisture in the Shower

Beauty, Skin

I’m sure you must have heard about NIVEA’s In-Shower skin conditioner, the first rinse off body lotion. I’ve started using for almost a month now, and I’m pretty much hooked on to it’s convenience.
Honestly, a skin care regime has to be in grained into a person via his or her daily habits. Over time, I’ve learnt that there’s no point adding too many additional steps to my routine because change is indeed difficult.

A good example to share with you guys is that I find applying sunblock on my body a chore because it hasn’t been a part of my daily routine to apply body sunblock. I only use sunblock when I head to the beach or when I’m participating in a full day outdoor activity. I tried getting a spray on kind of sun screen just so that application time is way easier and so that I will be more motivated to use it daily or as often as I possibly can..
Well, this lasted for a couple of days before I switched back to my old lazy ways. Now I have a few bottles sitting idle on my shelf but I will continue trying to use them as much as I can.

My point is: Change is hard and habits take years to form. I have not had the habit of applying moisturiser daily so asking me to do so is adding a huge task for me.
The NIVEA In-Shower Skin Conditioner has been the perfect solution to this problem because applying a body moisturiser in the shower the same way I would for a hair conditioner takes minimal effort. As using a hair conditioner is an everyday affair, it creates a golden opportunity for me to use the body conditioner at the same time. Having a bottle of In-Shower Skin Conditioner in my bathroom means I’d always be reminded to moisturise!

Moreover, I hate touching lotion. I’m neurotic like that, so being in the shower and putting this on all over my body feels way more comfortable than touching it after a shower.
I love that the after-feeling is absolutely silky soft, non-greasy, light and smooth– exactly what my dehydrated skin needs.

Here’s a peek into my shower routine:

1. Cleansing (with a regular shower gel)
2. Conditioning (with Nivea’s In-Shower Skin Conditioner)
3. Rinsing

…and DONE!

To prove moisture efficacy, I’m going to share my readings with this moisture device provided by NIVEA. I was quite surprised when I found that my initial (before shower) reading was so low. It must have been all the late sun exposure I’ve been getting myself into.

My moisture level almost doubled after using NIVEA’s In Shower Skin Conditioner. I love that even hard to reach areas like my back get moisturized as well.

It may seem unbelievable to some skeptics that a rinse-off body lotion could actually provide hydration to the skin. The NIVEA In-Shower works by leveraging on the body’s best moment for moisturization (which is during shower). The reason is because warm water opens up the pores and moist skin absorbs maximum nourishment. About 3 weeks after using the In-Shower Conditioner diligently, my skin appeared far less cracked and chapped.

The In-Shower skin conditioner provides 24H+ silky soft, hydrated skin. Available in 250ml & 400ml.

Too many pictures Mel. Less is definitely more. Some pictures are also not as post worthy.. So it lessens the charm of the whole post altogether. Too much going on.

Hi Mel. It is really nice of you to take consideration of your readers’ feedback. Some other bloggers would not be bothered or even scold, but you didn’t, and I find that highly admirable. 🙂
