NYFW: Self Portrait SS 19

Fashion Week

Self-Portrait has once again outdone itself. Debuting the Spring/Summer 2019 collection on the New York runway, attendees were treated to a fest of vivid colours and bold graphic prints. Steering away from its usual safe neutral hues, Han Chong was inspired on his trip to Ibiza and various hues of pink, yellow and blue have finally found their ways onto the racks of Self-Portrait.

While retaining its very distinct style of mixing prints, layering different pieces introduced an additional depth to the Self-Portrait essence. Frills, pleats, lace and crochet, yes please! From assymmetrical necklines to bell hemlines, the designs are statement yet feminine and casual.

Of many firsts, new to the brand is also a swimsuit line. Fashionably layered over lurex knits, because why not?

The Spring Summer 2019 season has set off to be a good one, especially so for Self-Portrait.
