4 Fun Things To Do On Valentine’s Day With Your Significant Other

Everything Lifestyle

Every year, James and I make it a point to celebrate Valentine’s Day together because to us, it is important to spend quality time with one another and enjoy each other’s company (although we are always together hahaha) ! And honestly, nothing truly beats a date with your significant other, right?

There are numerous ways on how you can celebrate Valentine’s Day and here are 4 romantic, inexpensive and fun things that you can consider doing with your date!

1. A Romantic Home-Cooked Dinner Date

A romantic home-cooked dinner date is a foolproof date idea! As what they always say, food is the way to a man’s heart! Staying in and bonding with your significant other in the next step of your culinary adventure together (cooking) is a enjoyable and intimate activity that is apt for the day of love! Not only that, you get to skip the stress of a dinner reservation on this day.

Some dishes that you can whip up with your partner:
Creamy Tomato Spinach Pasta, Shepherd’s Pie and Steak

2. A Romantic Walk By The Beach

A quiet long and serene walk along the beach with your significant other during sunset is definitely my kinda thing. Holding hands and sharing thoughts with one another while listening to the sound of the waves crashing and feeling the gush of ocean breeze is a nice way to spend quality time together!

Some beaches that you can visit in Singapore:
Changi Beach Park, East Coast Park, Sentosa Beach.

3. The Perfect Picnic Date

A classic and timeless date idea that will not break the bank. All you need to do is to bring the picnic mats and plop down on the grass with your picnic basket and enjoy with your partner! It’s no surprise why this date idea is such a romantic summertime classic and people are still doing it till this date.

For food choices, if you are adventurous and have time to spare, you can prepare some light bites at home if not, ordering a pizza for the picnic is equally as good too!

Some of my favourite places for a picnic:
Gardens By The Bay, Botantic Gardens, Fort Canning Park.

4. Chill Out At Home With A Movie Marathon Kinda Night

If you two just want a fuss free, no frills kinda date night, staying at home and chilling the night away with some epic movies are a good way to go! Get yourselves all comfy with your favourite comforter, dressed in your favourite jammies, make some amazing popcorn and have a good cuddle session with your man/lady!

Some movies that’s apt for Valentine’s Day:
Pride & Prejudice, The Notebook, P.S: I Love You, Bride Wars, My Bloody Valentine, Letters To Juliet
