Audi Fashion Fest: Desigual

Fashion, Fashion Week, Uncategorized

International fashion label Desigual presented its latest Autumn/Winter– The WHY? Collection (Invitation to be more curious)

The Runway:

The models sashayed down the catwalk with so much funky energy and fun. They even teased the audience with “selfies” and flirty stances during the catwalk like blowing kisses and sending winks as they strutted down the aisle.
On top of having my eyes on the intricate details of the gorgeous outfits, I was definitely engaged and very entertained watching the models take presence on the runway.
I saw ethnic trends combined with comfort and style dominate the new Desigual collection for Autumn 2014.

Harem pants and wide skirts with cuts that play with volume and shape.
Earthy shades like ochre and a mixture of black, greys and reds, set the tone.
Floral and sheer blouses are predominant as a perfect combination with fitted jeans.
Gauze and black&white help to create a defined and effortless look.
Indeed, this is the pure essence of Desigual.

Dresses and pinafore dresses are also new to this collection and were found on different fabrics and colours.

All thanks to Desigual, I was originally invited to open the show with Fiona Fussi.
Unfortunately, due to tight time constraints as I was traveling during that period, that segment was called off. Instead, they invited the both of us backstage, to preview the apparels featured and get our hair and make-up done by the team!
It was such an honour to get all dolled up and made pretty by the awesome backstage crew.

The below photos are taken by the assigned photographer engaged by Desigual for AFF!

I decided to go for a simple winged cat eye and red lips. I wanted to keep the look really clean, so I stayed away from any eye shadow and heavy blush.

The Show:

Together with Jessica (tippytap), Jess (Shiberty) and Marie!

Francesa and I were asked to wave to the camera!

Amanda, Francesca and Christabel.

My Outfit:

Thank you so much, BCBG Maxazria, for dressing me up for this show.
The cut on this little black dress is absolutely stunning and definitely timeless.

Thank you for this amazing opportunity AFF, Desigual, BCBG and everyone else who made it so memorable for me!
On that particular week, as I vividly recall, was extremely taxing for me, as I had just got back from Phuket, and had a lot of errands to run, a lot of emails to follow up on and a lot of work obligations to fulfil. But that being said, the show was a really wonderful mid-week booster. I’m genuinely looking forward to the next one already.

Till then, loves.
