Fresh Fruits Lab

Food, Lifestyle

Fresh Fruits Lab (FFL) has now made it to my list of “favourite” brunch to-go places over the weekends.
At FFL, the concept is simple but yet refined, artfully designed in a subtle laboratory style, sticking true to their “fruity” trademark. The place is spacious but yet the environment is warm and homely. I absolutely love the simple and classic decor filled with cushions, frames and little potted plants and flowers. The entire place just calls for a wonderful photo opportunity!

Ambiance aside, the reason why I’d go back again is because the menu is specially designed and handcrafted to incorporate a fruity element in many of the dishes, adding a dash of tangy excitement to the whole experience!
I think this concept is definitely appealing to fellow like-minded health conscious café goers who would still want to indulge.

This is definitely my definition of a hearty meal. I love going in big groups because I can order a bunch of different stuff and share it around!
Angus Scotch Fillet: 300g NZ angus ribeye, served with steakhouse fritted and mesclun salad tossed with FFL vinaigrette with red wine jus
Da Bomb Burger (Literally, the bomb!): 250g beef patty with lettuce, tomatoes, sweet onion cornichons, dijon mustard, crispy bacon, sunny side-up egg & melted colby cheese
Mushroom soup: Rich creamy mushroom puree with a sprinkle of truffle oil, served with croutons.
Roasted Roma soup: Herbed stewed Roma tomatoes with zucchini, garlic crouton and a dash of sweet paprika

Now to their brunch menu (only available on Saturdays and Sundays from 1130am – 230pm):
Spice me up: Bbq infused wrap with chicken ham, romaine lettuce, cheese, eggs, spanish onions and honey lime sauce with fruity salad
Egg Benedict: Poached farm eggs with smoked bacon, toasted english muffin and fruity salad, topped with hollandaise
Messy Breakfast: Truffle infused scrambled eggs on a toasted english muffin, roasted sweet potatoes, bacon-wrapped pineapple, bockwurst sausages, roasted tomatoes and fruity salad
Bananalicious: Banana infused pancakes, topped with cara- melized bananas and drizzled with maple syrup

For juice lovers, here’s a list of my recommended juices:
1) Aunty-Oxidant – wrinkles be gone: Consisting of Carrot, apple, orange, ginger
2) Fruits Beats – get energised: Consisting of Beetroot, apple, orange and lemon
3) Three to Tango – throughly refreshing: Consisting of pineapple, apple, orange
4) Viva la Frutas – vitamin C overload: Consisting of Orange, pear, cucumber

The best part of it all, FFL offers free wifi, so I’ll definitely be heading over there for meetings or just to sit around and do my work!
If you too, decide to pop by for a meal and bump into me, do say hi!
