SECRET’S OUT: Noah’s Bath Essentials

Motherhood

I vividly recall baby Noah’s first bath when he got back home. It was nerve-wrecking, but thank goodness we had our nanny, Aunty Siew Fong, to show use the ropes. Here’s a breakdown of Noah’s bath time essentials and all the “stuff” he needs and uses during his bath time.

Babies have sensitive skin so you will need a gentle body wash that is meant for the delicate skin on your babies. This Dodie Cleansing Gel is gentle on the skin, has a light and pleasant smell, and is enriched with certified organimc aloe vera, cotton & witch hazel extracts. It contains no added alcohol, MIT parabens & phenoxyethanol. I am rest assured that Noah’s skin is well-protected! Plus, the tear-free formula ensures that it is not stinging to his eyes.

Newborn babies are still working on regulating their body temperature, so some adorable hooded towels will help to keep them warm, and dry after bathtime. Plus, they’re super adorable!

A baby bath brush can not only be used to keep your baby’s hair in place, but is really great for treating cradle cap! You can use it to gently scrub your baby’s scalp as well!

Adult bath tubs are definitely too big for newborn babies and bathing your baby in the sink is a big NO-NO! I know moms who swear by the Stokke bathtub so I decided to go with that option. There is a in-built support that provides additional comfort when bathing the baby. Plus, it is portable, it folds flat, and has a non-slip base and plug for easy drainage.

Using a fresh wash cloth for each bath is a great way to keep your baby clean. I love bamboo washcloths as they are gentle, all natural and perfect for Baby’s sensitive skin!

Don’t forget to apply a moisturiser after your baby’s bath! This moisturising cream will hydrate and nourish your baby’s skin with it’s creamy and non-sticky texture. It also forms a protective barrier around the skin and comes with a mild and gentle scent that I absolutely love!

Bath time with your baby Noah is our favourite time. To me, there is nothing cuter than watching this little one splash around in his tub in laughter and excitement!

I’ll be giving away 3 sets of this special Dodie gift set for you fellow mommies to try them out for yourselves. If you’d like to win, leave a comment below, sharing with me what you look out for when shopping for your baby’s skin care products!
Don’t forget to leave your instagram handle as the Dodie Singapore (@dodie.sg) will be contacting the winner via DM! 🙂

My biggest concern is always sensitivity, and whether my baby girl will react to the new product. She has very sensitive skin, and it can get very dry /red if I use the wrong products!

What I am looking for baby’s skincare product is that It has to be
    1) a gentle body wash that is delicate to baby’s body.
    2) a moisturiser that nourish and hydrate my baby skin as she has sensitive skin. 3)One important criteria is that the product does not have a sticky texture after applying as it may cause discomfort ◡̈
Hope to win this lovely set for my Baby girl, Anna ! Thank you @dodie.sg and Melissa ◡̈

When shopping for skincare products/bath products, I look out and make sure the products have no artificial scents or any added alcohol for my baby’s tender and sensitive skin because he develops rashes easily so any irritants that can trigger it is a big no-no! Bonus if the packaging looks nice!! So everything is insta ready!!! (ig:@xjaniceljn)

It is important to look out for baby product which does not contain chemical as this is unhealthy for the baby skin. Baby skin are delicate so it is good that if there is baby-safe formula product for them.

As a mother of two (15 months and a week old), I look out for the best products for my babies because I know how delicate their skin can be.

When shopping for baby’s skin care product, I will always read for reviews by mummies online, check the ingredients used and ensure it is suitable for baby’s delicate skin. Also, I will search for hydrating, fast absorbing and gentle on skin moisturizincg cream especially if baby is going to be sleeping in an air-conditioned room to ensure that the skin is nourish.

    Hello there!
I’ll be due in Dec and have been looking out for good and suitable bath products for newborn/infant! I’m a first time mom so I have no experience on which products are good for newborns. I would preferably look out for something that is alcohol-free, gentle on baby’s skin and hopefully a product that doesn’t sting baby’s eyes!
It would be very nice to be able to win this giveaway so I can try out for myself how good Dodie’s products are! 🙂
    Thank you!

Hello Melissa, When shopping for baby essentials, Safety and practicality are my priorities. When it comes to skincare products, I also keep a lookout that no harmful ingredients are used to formulate the product as babies’ skin is thin and delicate. So i would rather spend a little more, as prevention is better than cure.

Also, Being a newly minted mother of two recently meant that I have to look at value when I am shopping, not the cheapest, but the best value, so i’ll always keep a look out for promotions.

What i look for when it comes to baby skin products are the reviews from mummies and also the ingredients they are using and if it is also safe for sensitive skin because baby’s skin is the most ‘fragile’ as compared to us adults…. using baby safe products on them is the most important. Hope i can get a chance to get the giveaway to let my baby that is on the way try it!!!
