Sustainability is so important these days! Did you know that the fashion industry is the second biggest industry contributing to pollution around the world? Many would think that other industries such as oil, coal or agriculture are the biggest players instead, me included! Good news is that the fashion industry is making small progress here and there and many fashion companies are exploring new ways to be more environmentally conscious (yay)!
Enter Ti:baeg, a fun fashion label that focuses on sustainability founded by designer Eunae Cho. We were so stoked to be able to attend Ti:baeg’s Please Save My Earth – Spring Summer 2019 fashion show in Seoul. For a short introduction, Ti:baeg’s fashion show was inspired by the manga story – Please Save My Earth by Saki Hiwatari, which portrays a love story mixed in adventures of reincarnation, regrets, love, pain and a lot of mystery.
All the pieces showcased in this show evoked nostalgia and sensibility for the past through the well thought details and creativity. One of my favorite thing about this collection is that the fabrics used for this collection are mainly recycled polyester with nature and earth graphic designs printed on the items!
Ti:baeg outdone this show (truly) ! Trends that you’d want to know based on what I saw in this show is – graphic prints. Graphic prints are coming back huge this season! And we’d definitely being seeing colors like emerald leaf green, lavender pink and denim blue a lot!
Keep close as we take you through the rest of Seoul Fashion Week!
