Hi guys, so here’s the little secret that we’ve been working on for months. The launch of my very own home and lifestyle brand— SOME DAYS AT HOME.
Some Days At Home is a passion project I started with the initial aim and objective of supporting young local, entrepreneurs and artists. It was also my desire to dedicate my time to do something meaningful and this business will be operated as a social enterprise, with the goal to give back in the biggest way I possibly can. I’ve also always enjoyed engaging you guys, my audience. So together, we’ll plan workshops and projects to bring to life certain ideas and crafts that you may propose.
So WHAT is Some Days at Home?
Some Days at Home will be an online platform stocking a curation of my favourite brands within the home, beauty and lifestyle category. All the brands that I stock are 100% screened, tried and tested by myself.
WHY Some Days at Home?
Over the years in this blogging industry, I’ve been reached out to by many wonderful brands out there to lend my support/ do a shout out for them. Lately however, I’ve found it impossible to accommodate to all their requests. Many of these brands are start up’s with a low budget but with excellent products to offer. All they need is a platform and a voice to bring the word out there. I genuinely want to help them reach out to my audience and support their passion projects in return.
We decided to name it Some Days at Home and launch this project because I find most joy being in the comfort of my own home. Sitting on my couch or around the dining table with my loved ones bring so much gratitude to my heart!
Our homes are definitely our safe haven. Travelling the world can be an experience like no other, but nothing really beats being back at home. I take pride in the styling and decoration of my place as it always ignites this indescribable emotion when I walk through my own doors. I hope to be able to inspire you to do the same, in both small and big ways.
I also collaborated with Actpressions— I was acquainted with her 3-4 years back when she reached out to me to support this little business she started as a movement to spread hope, love and joy through cards, notes and prints. I got a diary from her back then and I’ve been receiving so many enquiries about it ever since. The founder, Jolyn, was diagnosed with clinical depression at 19. Suicidal thoughts and tendencies plagued her as she was growing up and I believe this little project came to fruition as a result of her healing. She makes lovely hand printed stationary. Do get your calendars and diaries for 2019 before they sell out!
