So there we have it. My second experience at W Opera Paris and I’m impressed all over again.
Finally back from a month long trip– from New York to Tokyo to Paris to London– with just one day in between Tokyo and Paris back home.
(Yup, that was the day I got proposed to as well, but I’ll leave that for another story.)
So here I am looking at pictures from my trip and reminiscing the fond memories of it.
We made it in the nick of time for our flight to Paris. It’s always very stressful traveling especially when it’s for work. This time, the 13 hours didn’t feel too long especially after a comfortable flight on business class with Qatar Airways. We landed early in the morning, dumped our luggages with the hotel concierge, went out for lunch, and then returned “home” to this beautiful spacious room at the W.
I started to unpack because I had my own walk in closet (and I had a ton of outfits since it was fashion week). You know the usual first-things-first– I laid out my toiletries beside the bath tub, my cosmetics at the dresser, and the place felt so much like home.
Thank you, W Opera Paris for providing a remedy for my mild homesickness!
In our suite, we had a comfy couch to laze on for our heart-to-heart conversations, a king sized bed where we basically crashed for the entire day (as we were battling with jet lag), a posh bathroom complete with bathtub and rain shower (where I spent a good amount of time sitting in texting my best friend), a walk-in wardrobe, and a make-up table that looked like one from backstage of a music concert.
They say that the problem being put up in an overly comfortable hotel is that you find it hard to leave the place. True enough, we shamefully did not explore Paris, besides heading out of work commitments, until the third/second last day of our trip.
Here are some reasons why W Opera would always be my pick when I am in Paris.
1. Top-notch service.
The service staff at W was stellar. They were so responsive and helpful even to the extent of helping us to order a pizza and pasta at 2am in the morning when we were jet lagged and had no where to find food.
2. Retail Satisfaction just a stone’s throw away
Positioned right smack in the heart of Parisan Shopping, W Opera was home base for all our retail missions. The opera district boasts a collection of major departmental stores and shopping streets as such Galeris Lafayette, Printemps and Rue Scribe just to name a few. Some self-control needed here.
3. Elegance meets modernity
W’s interior was strikingly modern yet with a touch of elegance that the city of Paris and most of its luxury hotels are known for. The rooms are clean, simple, minimal and yet boasting a character of her own.
Thank you W Opera Paris team for having me once again! You guys are the sweetest bunch!
