Cafes In Bali You Need To Visit

Bali

If you’re looking to go on a holiday that not only offers, sunshine, sand and sea, but also a good deal of shopping and a myriad of wonderful cafes for your cafe-hopping adventures, Bali is definitely the place I’d recommend!
Bali is filled with a lot of perfect cafes with wonderful coffee brews, hearty (and healthy option) breakfasts, cosy spots for just spending the afternoon and cafes with breath-taking rice padi or sunset views. The café scene in Bali is ever evolving and there are so many new cafes sprouting every single time we visit. Since our last trip, I had already once consolidated some of the best cafes you can find by area (in Seminyak and in Canggu) and I have more to add from my recent trip. To be honest, I had a couple more cafes I wanted to check out but did not manage to because of (1) time and (2) stomach space, haha.
It might be a little overwhelming to sift through all the reviews and photos for recommended Bali cafes to visit whilst you are there but fret not as here is my personal list of Bali’s best cafes that you can take reference from while planning for your café exploration days!

For all the health-conscious lovers out there, healthier food options are not difficult to locate in Bali! Café Organic is the place to be at for delicious health conscious vegan meals. The café places strong emphasis on their passion for simple dishes using fresh local ingredients and you can expect to get a huge variety of healthy vegetarian dish options here! Not only that, this café is aesthetically pleasing with plenty of bohemian Instagram worthy spots with its all white interior!

We ordered Beet the Bean Burger as well as the classic avocado toast and it was absolutely delicious. Honestly, I could possibly turn vegan if vegan food tasted this good all the time!

Kim Soo is a pretty homeware, design and café French inspired boutique space in Seminyak. If you are down to do some furniture shopping whilst you are in Bali, this is a great place to go. Kim Soo offers a wide array of beautiful curated home décor pieces and it is one of my favourite interior stores in Bali. I get really inspired by all the beautiful villas I stay in Bali and entering the store always makes me want to purchase decor pieces so that I can transform my house into something as close to my dream villa in mind. The aesthetics of Kim Soo are really gorgeous and fits right up my alley. So if boho-chic vibes speak to you as well, this isa place you would not want to miss. Be sure to stop by for some light bites, a drink or a desert too! I heard that they serve really wonderful local dishes and their deserts are to-die-for! It was a pity that we didn’t have stomach for a full meal, but we really enjoyed the juices, smoothies and afternoon tea there!

Nalu Bowls shouldn’t be a stranger because it is the first smoothie bowl shack in the Bali café scene. This place is perfect if you have a sweet tooth and you want to unwind, cool down and chill in the hot Balinese summer weather. Everything in Nalu Bowls is prepared with local Bali ingredients, which adds onto the taste experience. This smooth bowl shack has a Hawaii-inspired menu and I highly recommend their acai and nut bowls. To be honest, it may be a little on the pricey end (by Bali standards) and you can actually also find smoothie bowls (for half the price) that is comparable in other cafes. However, their generous fruit toppings make up for it. I would visit them again if I am in the area for their pretty laid-back interiors and sit by to people watch and get some work done.

A beach club and café all in one, a great place to unwind with your best buds for the sun-lovers! This place hasn’t got quite the hype yet but I feel like since it is more frequented by locals and not-so-much tourists, you get to enjoy some level of exclusivity. Panama Kitchen & Pool is splashed with bright blue and white paint and every spot is a photo worthy corner! Bring your cute bikinis, grab a creative cocktail and chill the day away. If you prefer something non-alcoholic, give their juices and smoothies a try! 😊

I am always in for a juice cleanse and it is no surprise that I am back at Remix Cafe again on this trip. I discovered Remix Cafe during my previous trip to Bali and had the heartiest and most delicious brunch with my team– from pancakes to local delights and their absolutely to-die-for brunch menu. Best of all, Remix Juice really has the best handcrafted juices from the heart with true dedication! I particularly enjoy their almond blends. They’re unsweetened, so fresh, natural and wholesome. This time, I got to indulge in the pancakes and I’d say that’s my top favourite in the list at the moment! I am definitely heading back again and again for more pancakes!

Da Maria is a modern Italian place with amazing photo worthy interiors. They serve up a lengthy selection of dishes and if you are looking to stay till a little later at night, you can grab a few drinks too! I particularly love the open kitchen concept and I think that it adds onto the cafe experience! It is one of the more authentic Italian eateries that serve a good variety of appetisers, coal oven baked pizza, pasta and other entrées. This place is also a personal favourite and not a first for us. It’s definitely on the top of my list if I’m looking to satisfy my pasta/pizza cravings in Bali!

Folie is no stranger in the Bali cafe scene that serves up a delectable range of both Western and Indonesian cuisine. Pictures of Folie are always plastered on the Instagram pages and they are known for their iconic pink wall with blue seats and vibrant floral mural splashed across the walls! My favourite dish is definitely the angel hair pasta with pan-seared scallops. It was cooked to absolute perfection that we had to re-visit them for a second time during the same trip to get my craving fixed!

Opening Hours: 7AM to 10PM

The prettiest cafe interior with a stunning view of rice padi fields! Milu is a new venture by Nook and it was on my must visit list this time round. We ordered most of the local Indonesian dishes and we especially loved the bebek/duck and the satay! Milu by Nook also offers a shop selling beautiful interior decor, although on the pricier side. We wish we had a bigger stomach to try their breakfast menu too as it looked really good, but we’ll save that for next time!
