Perth pt I: COMO the Treasury

The best holiday experiences are those that create a deep impression and leave you wanting more. Located in the quiet city of Perth, COMO the Treasury definitely gave me a unique and unforgettable holiday experience.

The first thing that made me fall in love with COMO the Treasury is the grandeur of its architecture. Housed in what used to be a state building, the hotel’s 19th century architecture is simply breathtaking. Not only was it covered in rustic brick walls, the building was also laced with intricate stone carvings that brought out its deep historical value.

Although housed in such a historic building, I was pleasantly surprised by the modern interior of COMO the Treasury. Rooms here feature beautiful handcrafted European furnishings, so even though the interior looks spacious and sleek, the rooms still retain a sense of intimacy. The sunlight that filters though oversized windows are so dreamy and welcoming.

Besides the stunning architecture and interior, dining in COMO the Treasury was an experience to remember. We enjoyed an amazing spread at Post, a restaurant in the hotel which served COMO Shambhala cuisine which contains ingredients that are rich in living enzymes, vitamins and minerals! With such a delicious healthy spread, there’s no need to feel guilty after meals at all!

Another dining experience that I could not stop talking about was the rooftop dining at Wildflower – perfect for watching the sunset over a romantic dinner! Wildflower’s cuisine is inspired by indigenous six seasons and made from Western Australia’s finest produce, giving its cuisine a unique flavour. If anything, the tantalising cuisine went perfectly with the backdrop of the beautiful skyline!

A relaxing holiday is never complete without a luxurious wellness and spa experience. It was too bad that we didn’t get to enjoy a spa session at the COMO Shambhala, but I managed to catch a few glimpses at the amazing indoor pool- which was HEATED! While the indoor pool is shields me from the cold outside, I love the natural sunlight that streams in through the glass windows. A dip in the pool is quite the perfect way to start and/or end the day.

Our stay at COMO the Treasury was extremely enjoyable. Its intimate setting in the historic heart of Perth really allowed us experience another side of Australia! What’s more, the delectable cuisine and amazing facilities is the ultimate experience that left us feeling recharged and revitalised at the end of our stay. Perth is such a beautiful city, and this amazing stay made it all the more memorable.

We left the city of Perth for Margaret River after, and I cannot wait to share with you guys all of our unique experiences there!
