Looking back on how crazy and schedule-packded the last week and weekend was, got my heart aching and wishing for these moments to repeat itself all over again. I don’t know where to begin.
This has by far been one of the most eventful and rewarding weeks of 2015, also coinciding with my birthday.
Rushing through the entire check in process as I had another meeting scheduled in the afternoon, I opted for the quick check in at the lobby instead of a room check in (God knows how awesome that would have been?).
I brisked to my room to put down all my parcels/outfits and everything I had in my hands. Walked in to the sweetest and most heartwarming surprise from the Grand Hyatt team– a table filled with flowers, a note and a Red Velvet Cake, which was superbly delicious by the way.
I snapped a quick photo and ran off to my appointment immediately. I very much appreciated that the hotel staff were so attentive to my needs. In the time that I was gone, they set up a clothing rack for me to hang my clothes, and kindly offered laundry and pressing services for my outfits.
Plus, the concierge had pre-arranged a BMW 7 series to take me from the hotel to the tent in the evening, just so that I wouldn’t be scrambling to get there in my 5-inch heels. It was very thoughtful and I cannot say thank you enough.
Recovering from post-Fashion Week mayhem, Grand Hyatt fixed an incredibly relaxing pampering session for Jon and I at Damai Spa. It was a much needed retreat for us to unwind and relax, and possibly the most indulgent part of my stay aside to the good food. Following the spa was an exquisite champagne high tea buffet at 10SCOTTS that I would undoubtedly return for again soon. You might have seen snippets of it on snapchat, but I’d suggest that you try it for yourselves some day when you can. Dinner at Mezza9 a week later was incredibly delectable too. Jonathan had immense praises for every dish served to us and we both agreed to save this restaurant as one of our picks in our personal restaurant favourites.
Thank you one again, Grand Hyatt Singapore, for the beautiful escapade and indulgence. It was a luxurious getaway from the monotony of our every day lives, and casually remarking that I’m returning to my “suite” just had me on cloud9 for that entire week. Now seriously, I’ll always be dreaming of #ThatSuiteLife and maybe return for another round of it when I feel like I deserve another treat.
