I wanted nothing more than an evening out with my beautiful girls and I thought there was no better way to spend it than to be sweating it out together. Besides, it is REALLY close to my BIG day and at the back of everyone’s mind and what’s better than a little help to burn off the excess calories? So then, I decided to plan a little party/get together session for my bridesmaids.
I hardly had any time to prepare for this but I just got together my favourite party vendors like Trini from Looney Bloons and Li Hui from HIC Juice, who both very willingly came on board. It’s almost Fel’s birthday as well, so I took the opportunity to celebrate for her! Why not right? Especially with all the balloons around!
The juices were a a real treat post-work out. I even requested for guilt-free ice cream to reward all of us for the hard work! I think this might be my most loved ice cream ever- from the Dark Gallery, an extension of HIC Juice. For those attending my wedding, you’ll get to taste it there!
Anyway, I’m so thankful that Annabel and Linda agreed to host my girlfriends and I and for always motivating me to attend classes and keep up the momentum. It really is so much fun working out as a group!
I personally, been trying to tone up and keep fit at webarre for the past 6 months and I have been a genuine advocate for them ever since. I mean, it is so tough for me to be consistent with ANY form of exercises (classes, runs, gyms, and of all sorts) but I got really hooked to this.
Maybe it is because of the ballet elements that bring back fond memories of me at the barre in my yester-years, or perhaps, the encouragement from the instructors, or the challenge and post work out satisfaction after every single class. I’m not too sure, but I know that this is something that I can keep on doing for a long time to come.
P.S. I got Melvin and James to try out a class as well and boy, it unexpectedly kicked their assses too.
I realised one thing: Getting fit does not happen overnight but it spans over a long period of time and with some serious commitment, dedication and focus. Fitness is about the process as much as it is about the end goal. I’m so thankful that I got introduced to doing barre classes and have thoroughly enjoyed the journey.
